T.E.S.T. Team 303 hosted and competed at the FMA Bridgewater-Raritan District Event on March 16th and 17th. The event was attended by many students, teachers, and members of the public.
Thirty-five teams from New Jersey and Pennsylvania attended the event. Team 303 ended up being in the 5th rank and was in an alliance with the 3rd ranked team. Thanks to our alliance partner Team 6945 Children of the Corn and Team 3142 Aperture, Team 303 made it to the semifinals. The team won the Autonomous Award which has a reliable, consistent, and creative autonomous.
In addition, we had a FLL Jr. competition for the 6 FLL Jr. teams in our district. The students demonstrated their robot and poster to the judges which were members of our team. Parents and school faculty came to see the the elementary school students participate and show off their robot. An FTC robot was also on display. Kids could view the robot and ask any questions they had to our team members. We had a quiet room at the competition for people to relax and unwind. Other fun activities included a face painting booth and a button making table.
Overall, the experience was extremely fun for the team to host the event and compete at it. They can’t wait until next year.
