On March 9th – 11th, 2018, T.E.S.T. Team 303 competed at the Mount Olive MAR District Competition in Flanders, NJ. After a long competition, Team 303 was able to win at the event and receive the Entrepreneurship award for their efforts. FIRST PowerUp is the name of this year’s challenge. To score points, teams must place boxes, called power cubes, onto a switch and scale, tipping it in their favor. Teams can gain additional points by having robots climb the scale at the end of the match or by activating “power ups” to gain an advantage over the opponent. Team 303 had an overall very successful event and was able to accomplish a lot with their hard work and dedication.
After finishing in 1st seed following qualification matches, The T.E.S.T. Team became alliance captain, and formed their alliance with Team 25 and Team 6203. The teams fought hard and after their final face-off with Team 222, Team 223, and Team 1143. Team 303 emerged victorious.
T.E.S.T. Team 303 won the Entrepreneurship award. Sponsored by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, The Entrepreneurship Award celebrates entrepreneurial spirit by recognizing a team that has developed the framework for a comprehensive business plan to scope, manage, and achieve team objectives.
